◯OUTLINE

While the tiny house is associated with isolation and the limited number of residents, this project is designed to be a place of conviviality and gathering. It is an escape from the nuisance of the city and a way to get closer to nature.

"Expandable in between" is an experience of disconnection from the daily routine of city life to a natural and human connection. This project brings dynamism and flexibility to the unique lifestyle of the tiny house by offering different layouts and configurations. It is a space that is both closed and intimate, but also open and communicative.

The design is based on 2 main axes, the adaptation to a hot climate and the facility of transport. It consists of 3 U-shaped units, acting as inhabited walls housing the necessary furniture., and slide thanks to a system of rails and anti-friction wheels, to allow natural air to flow freely and open the interior space to the environment. The sliding walls serve not only to expand the interior space, but also to facilitaire the transport of the house, which instead of being totally disaambled, becomes a compact box.
